Dear LIMITS friends,
There’s a mixture of interesting news in today’s update and we have a lot to talk about.
Where are we at?
Like mentioned in our previous update, we continue to manufacture products at a steady rate with regular shipments now arriving in the UK. Once arrive in the UK, we continue putting each LIMITS power meter through a power profile test to ensure all products are working to specification. During this power profile test we have identified an issue which has also been highlighted by DC Rainmaker, that sometimes after a calibration we witness erroneous power levels. Hence, all our efforts are now focused on resolving this and until we do we will be holding the units in our office in Scotland.
Leaderboard Triathlon Challenge
We were excited to support the Leaderboard Triathlon Challenge at Eton Dorney earlier in the month. The Leaderboard event brings together beginners to hard-core athletes to compete in a 6 leg relay in aid of Comic Relief. It was an honour for LIMITS to be part of this and work with CISCO and Dimension Data, as they aimed to make this the most connected triathlon ever with rider heart rate, speed, power and more monitored, recorded, and displayed during the event. Below is a picture of the leaderboard displaying the riders stats including power as measured by LIMITS.
We had a meeting with the Mountain Bike Centre of Scotland last week where we had the chance to discuss the role of power meters in the MTB environment and the usefulness of the data recorded. As initial discussions were very interesting, we’ve decided to open this up in order to get feedback from you. We’re now planning to arrange an open evening at the Glentress Mountain Bike Centre where we will have bikes setup with LIMITS for riders to try and give us feedback, thoughts and suggestions. We’ll keep you posted and let you know when the date is confirmed as we’re planning to provide food and drink on the night and invite you all to come along, do your ride, and join us!
Le Grand Trophee – Le Trophée de L’Oisans
Our test rider did us proud at the Trophee de L’Oisans with outstanding results every day, well done and congratulations on the good work!
We’re making final preparations for Eurobike and we’re delighted to confirm that we will be on the Scotland stand FG-B9/5 from the 31st August until the 4th of September. Please feel free to come along, see our team and LIMITS -we will have a bike set up and you’re all welcome to try it out!
