Jamie Henderson Pushed his LIMITS Smart & was the first Brit Across the Line in Oisans Trophy

Dear LIMITS friends,

During last week, our very own Jamie Henderson took part in the Oisans Trophy – a benchmark race in the Alps, consisting of four challenging rides.

Jamie finished an amazing 14th overall and was the first Brit across the line! The LIMITS team was there to support Jamie and we’re all very proud of his incredible performance.

La Vaujany 28 June 173km completed in a time of 06:03:46
La Vaujany is a benchmark race in the Alps, marking the beginning of a cycling week enjoyed by all enthusiasts, known as the Oisans Trophy. This is a superb route, enabling riders to discover all of the Valbonnais and Oisans! It goes around the Taillefer via the Alpe du Grand Serre, along the Ecrins via the Col d’Ornon (1,185m), returning via Rochetaillé, Villard Reculas and Alpe d’Huez for a climb up to the majestic Col de Sarenne (2,000m) and a final ascent to Vaujany (1,235m).

Prix des Rousses 1 July 2015 40km completed in a time of 01:47:43
A Oisans Trophy road cycle race. 40 km and 1,600m of height gain for a timed session linking Bourg d’Oisans, Alpe d’Huez, Villard-Reculas and Vaujany.

Marmotte Granfondo 4 July 2015 170km completed in a time of 07:07:58
La Marmotte is a legendary road cycle race, starting from Bourg d’Oisans and finishing at Alpe d’Huez. The race is located in the Oisans and Maurienne areas covering mythical roads and cols:

  • Bourg d’Oisans (719 m);
  • Col du Glandon (1 924 m);
  • Montvernier hairpins (777 m);
  • Col du Mollard (1 630 m);
  • Col de la Croix de Fer (2 058 m);
  • Bourg d’Oisans (719 m);
  • Alpe d’Huez (1 880 m).
